Parenting is a journey that leads us down trails and up to vistas of immense beauty. It also challenges us with exhausting, dusty miles of steep terrain. Like any adventure, parenting is invigorating and brings great fulfillment and immense joy, while at times it leaves us feeling alone, lost, and overwhelmed by the wilderness we find ourselves in. Ohana Family Resources (OFR) offers “springs” from which to drink and a restful space to pause and regroup on the side of the trail we are walking as a parent.

While honoring that no two journeys are the same, we provide touchstone offerings as cairns: “maps” on the developmental stages of childhood, inspiration to help you catch your breath and support your inner resolve, and tried and true tools to place in your backpack. Give your child the gift of taking a moment to “re-source” yourself in a parenting community so you can be a source of nourishment and the steady hand your child can hold as you explore the way together but not alone.

It is not so much what we say but where we walk that shows a child the way.

Nina offers more than just learning about our children – she opened our eyes as to how we learn and about how to parent ourselves. She brought us back to joyful parenting through learning to work with our children’s development instead of against it. We are a grateful family!
